TenneCBD’s White Grapefruit CBG

Your New Daytime Smoke — TenneCBD’s White Grapefruit CBG

I love citrus strains, but sometimes THC is too much for my daytime smoke. It’s why I’ve turned to TenneCBD’s White Grapefruit CBG. This rare hemp strain has flavors of tart citrus, lemongrass and evergreen, but it’s the effects I notice most — mellow, calming and comparable to a warm cup of chamomile tea.

I know what you’re thinking. Hemp!? TenneCBD is indoor grown, hand trimmed and pesticide free. Best of all, it’s legal in all 50 states since these products fall below the .3% THC limit.

Suspend Taxes During the Pandemic

suspend taxes during pandemic

Suspend Taxes and All Other Non-Voluntary Payments During the Pandemic

Today is Tax Day, and while the deadline is extended, I don’t feel that’s enough. During this pandemic, I believe government should suspend taxes — the only non-voluntary payment currently required.

I see people call for a suspension of rent, mortgages or student loans. I believe those are voluntary contractual agreements which you should resolve with your lender, not the government. If home owners or landlords don’t pay property taxes, the State seizes their land.

It’s My Quarantine Birthday and I’ll Cry if I Need To

Yesterday I celebrated my quarantine birthday. However, I found it hard to be happy. No, not because our Palm Springs trip got cancelled.

Initially I planned to wrap my workday at noon. As a business owner, I work around the clock, so couldn’t wait to clock-off early to lounge around and FaceTime friends. Instead, I worked until almost 6PM.

Golden Hour at the Walt Disney Concert Hall

Walt Disney Concert Hall

Golden Hour and Ganja at the Walt Disney Concert Hall

One of the many locations on my content list includes the Walt Disney Concert Hall. For years I’ve seen shots of the famous Frank Gehry architecture and admired the building’s curves. When I coordinated my recent Los Angeles shoot with Chern, we put this spot on our must-see for golden hour.

The walls work like a giant photo reflector, which is why this place is perfect for a golden hour sesh. Walkways, stairs and solid walls bounce light into the smallest shadows. At one point I felt lucky to be wearing sunglasses as I would literally be blinded by the light.

Jesus Saves

Jesus Saves, but I Sesh

Jesus saves, but I sesh! Fun Fact — I grew up Catholic but didn’t take it very seriously. It’s why I’ve been eyeing this Insta-famous Jesus Saves rooftop, as well as brainstorming a punny caption, for over a year now.

Luckily Jesus answered my prayers during a recent trip to Los Angeles. I’d coordinated a shoot with the talented Chern and put this location as the last on our list. We arrived to the rooftop around 4 PM, just as the light started to get golden. I sparked up a joint, dangled my legs over an edge and thanked God for picture perfect conditions.

Love + Destroy Valentine’s Day

Is it love, is it love, is it love that I’m feeling? Yes, but it’s also this cute Love + Destroy pipe!

Their stem pipe, featured here, is a modern take on smoking classics. While it looks like glass or ceramic, it’s actually a combination of 3D printing and hand finishing. The 3D printed material is a ceramic formula safe for food, a dishwasher or oven. Available in matte black, gloss black, gloss white, and matte white ceramic, I love how chic this piece looks on my bud cart.

Turn Likes into Dollars and Monetize Social Media

“Do you pay rent with likes?”

“What do you actually do?”

“You mean social media is your job!?”

These are all questions I’ve received at some point over the last four years. To the socially un-savvy, boomers, or even canna-curious hoping to make social a job, it’s a fair question. How does someone turn likes into dollars? Where does one even start to monetize social media?

Through trials and tribulations, I’ve found what works best for me. Since I’m a big believer in sharing knowledge, I want to share what I’ve learned with you. So whether you’re a seasoned social poster or new to the ‘Gram, I hope you enjoy my monetization tips and tricks!

I Found My Missing Red Vessel Brand Expedition Pen

Do you remember my missing red Vessel Brand vape pen? You know the one. It’s red, rugged and shiny. Went missing after too much Fireball at a holiday party…

WELL I FOUND IT.

After weeks of thinking I lost my vibrant red Vessel Brand Expedition Pen, I found it buried in the bottom of my purse. I must’ve been drunk to stash it, because I scoured every crevasse the morning after our Christmas shenanigans. To no avail, I assumed I lost my pen.

Ooze Life’s Biodegradable Rolling Trays

ooze life's biodegradable rolling trays

These Biodegradable Rolling Trays Break Down in Under Two Years

Last year, humans globally produced 359 million metric tons of plastic. That breaks out to 718 billion pounds of plastic in one year. Even worse, a whopping 91% of plastic isn’t recycled. The cannabis industry is complicit in this plastic production, which is why I am so proud to partner with Ooze Life to promote their biodegradable rolling trays.

Ooze Life’s biodegradable rolling trays are made with melamine powder, bamboo powder and corn starch to form a resin that degrades in nature. The bamboo powder is repurposed from leftover cuttings and shavings from the manufacturing of other bamboo products like chopsticks or flooring, thus making it even more sustainable.

Cannabis Decade Recap

Smoking My Way through the 2010’s with a Cannabis Decade Recap

I’ve barely begun typing, but already reminiscing on the last decade brings me to tears. If you told me ten years ago I’d be a successful cannabis business owner living in Seattle, I would’ve laughed. At that time I still smoked black market weed from friends who could get it. My oh my, how things change. So as we blaze into the roaring 2020’s, I’m excited to do a cannabis decade recap highlighting the last ten years that brought me where I am today.

2010 started out smoke free. After all, I lived in China. Today I’m pretty gutsy about smoking around the world, but there’s some countries I just won’t risk. Prior to my move overseas I watched “Locked Up Abroad” and joked with friends I wouldn’t fare well in Chinese prison. So for half of 2010 I remained cannabis free. Until I moved home in June 2010.

Do you ever mix other herbs with your favorite flower? I love to create herbal blends with my cannabis consumption. The combination of terpenes not only gives your hit a unique flavor, it also provides a more calming high. So when Bud Love asked me to try their new herbal mixer, I couldn’t wait to experience how it makes bud better.

Bud Love is made up of marshmallow leaf, which is an ancient medicinal herb, CBG and terpenes. There is no nicotine in these blends and it is NOTHING like spice. To help you spark assured, all ingredients and finished products are lab tested.

I enjoy Bud Love to help me unwind after a long day. It also extends the life of my stash. Their color-coded packaging helps you pick the right strain to pair with their herbal blends for a high you can customize.

Unusually I hate the cold but this year I not only embraced it, I loved it. I spent more days on the mountain this season than I ever have, and it felt amazing. Fresh powder, tree runs and lots of trees mean the whole day is the good part!

I’m baaaaaaaaaaack! On Wednesday morning I woke I’m baaaaaaaaaaack! On Wednesday morning I woke to find something no cannabis creator wants — their Instagram profile deleted a TENTH time.

It’s been over five years since I last battled IG over their inconsistent Terms of Service. Even with 38 states having passed medical or recreational laws, it’s still a reminder what our community is up against.

Shortly after my first deactivation I started a petition to Instagram asking they update their TOS. This petition has recently been given renewed life thanks to dedicated individuals like @cannabis.connoisseur.007 who encourage people to sign and advocates for change on social media by appealing to Meta’s @oversightboard. The petition currently has over 43,000 signatures and our next major milestone is 50K. Tap the link in bio to sign the petition and make your voice heard.

So what’s next? Yesterday I emailed Instagram’s press department asking for a statement on the petition and inconsistencies surrounding their enforcement. The next step is writing a letter to @mosseri, Head of Instagram, asking he work with the cannabis community to establish clear guidelines which will help prevent accounts from being wrongly deleted. If you have any other ideas, please share them in the comments below.

Have you been deleted by Instagram? If so, what did you do to get your account back? If you didn’t, how did you cope and respond? And what do you think triggers deactivations? Is it AI, a hater flagging posts or something else? Share your thoughts and definitely tap the link in bio to sign the petition. 🍁📱 #cannabess

Today marks seven years since I started my #Cannab Today marks seven years since I started my #Cannabess account and what a wild ride it’s been!

From farm tours to playing dress up, and clients who trust my creative vision, I am beyond thankful for the memories made while incorporating this plant. Best of all, I’ve connected with so many amazing females along the way.

But the last seven years haven’t always been nugs and roses. Cancel culture, COVID group think, and a few catty encounters made me seriously reconsider if this is a space I want to be in. While I’ve taken a step back the last year to focus on political projects, my passion for this plant still burns hotter than a dab nail.

I never anticipated turning cannabis into a career. It all started as one Instagram account to highlight my photography and morphed into something beyond my wildest dreams. Cannabis has allowed me to travel the world, work remote and create a business unheard of until recently. I mean seriously, who makes “cannabis photographer” a job? This woman right here.

So thank you cannabis community for the last seven years. I look forward to the next seven more. When did you start following my account? What shoot has been your favorite? And what would you like to see next? 🌿🙏🏼💚 #cannabess

In the interim, here's a snowy smoke sesh at Snoqualmie Pass, which I'm crossing today for a week in western Washington. What brands or products should I stock up on while I'm back in a legal state? 🍁🏔️💨 #cannabess

At least 61 people have died of fentanyl overdoses At least 61 people have died of fentanyl overdoses in King County as of this year. Seattle saw 739 shootings resulting in 38 deaths in 2022. And last year, the county distributed over 10,000 kits of naloxone and about 100,000 fentanyl test strips. But Washington State politicians think the real problem is cannabis concentrates, so they’ve set out to regulate them.

HB 1641 and HB 1642 are bills pertaining to the “public health challenges of high-potency cannabis products.” The bills tax concentrates based on THC percentage, ban advertising of concentrates above 35% THC and restrict the sale of “high-potency” extracts to medical patients over the age of 25.

Yes, the greatest threat to our state is a plant. This plant, per the state’s own data, has not killed A SINGLE PERSON. It employs thousands of people and generates billions in tax revenue. It is truly a threat and must be stopped!

I am obviously being sarcastic, but in all seriousness, politicians who don’t understand cannabis have no business regulating cannabis. So tap the link in my bio to read more, then contact Washington state reps and tell them to stop targeting a peaceful plant and focus on real peoblems in the state. 🍯 #cannabess
