Smoke Your Seaweed in Mary Jane Swim
“I feel like a mermaid!” I called out to Keti while balancing on a rock and smoking a joint. As we looked around, it certainly felt like a movie scene. The tranquil blue water, mossy rocks and Mary Jane Swim would’ve made even Ariel ditch Price Eric to hit the joint.
Keti and I recently hiked one of my favorite locations, Denny Creek. I love this location for its mellow incline and lush trees, but most of all, the geology surrounding it all — waterfalls, boulders and rocks softened after years of erosion. I knew this spot would be perfect for Mary Jane Swim.
As many people know, I love swimwear. Despite living in Seattle, I crave warmth year round and my swimsuit collection is always expanding. When I discovered Mary Jane Swim, their long sleeve suit caught my eye, but it was their message that got me hooked.
Cofounders Diane and Stacey started their own swimwear company, Sweenie Manufacturing, in 2008. The women produced swimwear for other companies, but when they discovered CBD, both saw the power in this plant. Alas, a new company was born.
Mary Jane Swim supports the wellbeing of athletes CBD’s role in sports recovery. They hope to normalize cannabis through their first capsule collection, appropriately named OG Kush. Best of all? A portion of proceeds are donated to Athletes for Care.
