Seattle Weed Meets Aren’t Just for Smoking
“Hey Bess, how do you always get such awesome photos? Do you like, roll around with a team of photographers?”
I received that question last week and while I don’t always “roll with a team” I do have a ton of talented photographer friends. We got together a while back for a Seattle weed meet to blaze it up and shoot around town.
Our afternoon started on Blake’s Capitol Hill rooftop. He’s got an epic view of the Seattle skyline. We rolled up fatties with Empire Papers and House of Cultivar before we walked the blocks. Our crew turned heads, as the ratio of photographers to smokers averaged 5:1.
I know some photographers get weird about “other people getting their shot.” Not so here. One of my favorite things about Seattle weed meets, or even photographer meet-ups in general, is seeing how everyone’s eye can capture the same shot differently. If anything, working with other photographers has helped me grow and see my own shots with a new angle.
