Summer is over, but my affinity for swimwear certainly isn’t. I browse bikinis year-round and one brand I love is Mikoh. No joke, I own four of their suits.
I stumbled upon Mikoh circa spring 2012, in prep for my first Coachella weekend. I bought this black one-piece for its mullet style — business in the front, party in the back. It pairs perfectly with shorts and best of all, has held up through five seasons of pool parties, concerts, hikes, travels and boat tie-ups.
Needless to say, after the success of this suit, I purchased three more. What I love most about Mikoh, aside from durability, is how soft their suits are. Hardware is kept to a minimum and even with a bazillion straps, these bikinis are comfy enough to be worn all day.
I shot these suits at one of the PNW’s most pristine locations, Denny Creek. Cam and I went for a hike at Franklin Falls, but after seeing it overrun with families, we took a detour and found this epic canyon for a waterside smoke sesh. Pro tip: always take the trail less traveled.
If you’re looking for swimwear you can put through the wringer, look no further than Mikoh. I love to mix and match styles on their homepage, but Net-a-Porter, Revolve and iShine365 also carry their styles. My only piece of advice? If you see it and love it, buy it. Their suits fly off the e-shelves and I’ve only had serious regret from not buying one of their bikinis.
