I went up to Mt Baker last weekend for a winter wonderland adventure with my boyfriend (yes, you read that right) and couldn’t have asked for better conditions. 21 inches of freshies meant a) an epic day on the slopes and b) an epic afternoon for photos.

Trick or treat! It’s one of my favorite holidays — Halloween. However, working in weed, it’s been appropriately renamed Halloweed. To celebrate the season, we ventured to a local farm in search of pumpkin spice sativa.
Last year High Times voted me one of their Ten Best Halloweed Photos, so how do I top that? By working with one of Seattle’s best, and quickest rising photographers, the talented Dillon Ivory. Dillon is known for beautiful portraits, stunning styling and soft tones. So working with him was on my bucket list.
It’s no secret my best friend is every cat ever, which is why I’m sparking up Berry White joints by Solstice for National Cat Day.
National Cat Day was founded as a way to bring awareness to the number of homeless cats. It takes place on October 29th every year in the United States. The official website states the holiday was first celebrated in 2005 “to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of cats that need to be rescued each year and also to encourage cat lovers to celebrate the cat in their life for the unconditional love and companionship they bestow upon us.”
I recently assembled the ultimate girl gang for a shoot at Rattlesnake Lake. With BE Beauty braiding hair and Fauxy Furr outfitting us in vintage, it’s bound to be an epic day in the PNWeed.
The idea arose when my best friend Brittanie mentioned coming to Seattle for work. She owns BE Beauty Salon and wanted to style hair for an editorial. We brainstormed concepts and I knew just the team.
Where do you go when tasked with a weed falcon photoshoot? The Olympic Peninsula.
Bethany of Falcanna reached out regarding lifestyle images. She’d seen my work and wanted to create something similar for her grow. Before I could brainstorm concepts, I needed little backstory.
There’s the Cannabus and the Weed Bus, but last weekend Danielle and I found ourselves on the 420 Express. Next stop? Stoned in Skagit Valley!
Due to an influx of photographers at the flower field, Danielle and I took a chance on this old bus. We casually walked down an old dirt road and boarded the soon-to-be weed bus. Eventually we realized no one cares, made a couple trips back to the car for styling and gear, then sparked up. All aboard the 420 Express.
Brittanie and I sampled the CBD cocktails at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood to celebrate my 30th birthday. Why not order a drink for every decade of friendship?
We unintentionally started with the Stoney Negroni. I thought I ordered us “the weed leaf” drinks. Alas, the combination of gin, vermouth and Amaro provided a perfect combination of bitter meets sweet. An orange peel with the imprint “puff, puff, pass” added a subtle citrus kick.
As I wrap up my 20’s and blaze into my 30’s, I can’t help but feel high on life. A road trip to Salvation Mountain with a few of my favorites only amplified these emotions.
Brittanie, Chelsea, Colin and I loaded the Mazda and mobbed three hours east. 90 degrees out and nowhere to change? No problem. Hair extensions, a trunk of clothes and more shoes than an average closet served as our styling area.
On Saturday Danielle and I set out for a city adventure. We scoured rooftops, smoked at the Sculpture Park and enjoyed greens at the Seattle Art Museum’s living tree. While it might be March, it’s still freezing so I kept cozy in my Stoner Days hat.
